BREAKING NEWS: 6/4/15

Lawyers for former NFL player and convicted killer Aaron Hernandez have called for their client's guilty verdict be overturned because they argue the jury was "exposed to extraneous matters."

Those extraneous matters include home video of Hernandez returning home after the murder with the gun used in the killing.

Former Governor of Rhode Island Lincoln Chaffee has entered the Democratic presidential campaign. He announced that one of his proposals would be to revive President Jimmy Carter's attempt to convert the USA to the metric system. 

Chaffee's other proposals include bringing back 8-track tapes, Earth Shoes, and Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific Shampoo.
 

Tom Cruise's son Connor tweeted a rant against Caitlyn Jenner receiving the 2015 Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

Connor wrote, "Now, my dad pretending he likes women, that's courage!" 

Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz has apologized for making a joke about Joe Biden days after the death of Biden's son Beau from brain cancer.                                              
 In his apology, Cruz added, "I should have told the one about the Chinese cruise ship sinking."

Officials at the Pittsburgh Port Authority say they’ve recently received complaints that one of its slogans, “Ziggin Zaggin,” is offensive when read backwards, seeming to spell out a racial slur.

Insiders say the complainants came from Mr. Diputs Norom. 

Six North Dakota baseball players were suspended after allegedly participating in a sexual act that involved a McChicken sandwich and a bottle of Gatorade. Grand Forks High School principal Buck Kasowski could not elaborate but said, "Bottom line is some young people made mistakes."

"The biggest mistake," Kasowski said, "was forgetting the mayo. Trust me, it's pretty painful otherwise."
