LEFT, RIGHT, WRONG

I wish they were only on DVD and
Blu-Ray.
Let me say it out loud: I don't blame Donald Trump for unleashing the crazies on the right any more than I do "The Squad" and crazies on the left. They simply noticed the pots were boiling and decided to let them explode.

If the more stable Democrats and Republicans were calling the shots, they'd have simply turned off the stove and poured the contents down the sink.

A recent poll found that 26% of respondents were Republicans, while 30% were Democrats; the remaining 42% were independent That means both parties are ignoring everybody else.

This is especially strange since only a 1/3 of each party can rightfully be considered crazy. Yet that's who the people in charge are playing to. Another study found that the Republican party has completely lost Gen Z -- ages 18 to 29 -- likely forever

I thought political parties were supposed to attract the next generation. There was a time when, thanks to the friendly style of Reagan and the Bushes, Republicans did a pretty good job of attracting younger voters. They were anti-racism and pro-clean water while still being rah-rah capitalists. Good combo for kids who wanted to get rich. And all that anti-abortion stuff? Oh heck, that was settled, right?

According to DeSantis, the gentlemen are just
welcoming tourists to Disneyworld.
Now we see American Nazis in Orlando openly yelling anti-semitic slogans, heiling Hitler and  urging "white power" at the top of their lungs.  You'd think this would be a slam-dunk moment of condemnation from Florida Republican Ron DeSantis, if only because the idea of old Jews retiring to Florida is a cliche for a reason.

Instead, he decided that Democrats were "smearing" him for... asking him to condemn Nazi activity in his state. Translation: These crazies vote Republican, and I can't afford to lose them. Instead, Ron focused on a real tragedy: the possibility of Tom Brady quitting the Buccaneers

Plenty of Democrats are no better. Whoopi Goldberg was forced to backtrack on her decidedly-strange take on the Holocaust, albeit with the classic "I stand corrected" bullshit. What is it about the right and left regarding Jews?

On another topic or two, I've yet to see any of the A-listers call out the folks who claim "math is racist" or that decriminalizing crimes like shoplifting is a good thing.

That latter piece of stupidity is essentially what's happened here in New York City, thanks to our idiot Attorney General Alvin "No Bail" Bragg. To his credit, Bragg has finally deigned to "listen to the voices of small business owners" instead of 17 year-olds who can't vote.

Everything must go.
It's a start, but it comes too late for a Rite Aid in my neighborhood. Having become such a target for criminals, the store had to shut down, putting its employees out of a job. This is nothing for the AG to Bragg about.

Republican politicians should remember that most of their voters are anti-Nazi, while their Democrat counterparts apparently have to be reminded their voters enjoy shopping at safe, well-stocked drugstores. But they don't because they follow dumbbells on Twitter and Facebook.

"I got you, babe."
There should be people on both sides to right their sinking ships. Younger candidates with fresh ideas, ready to take over without pandering to their respective extremes.

Yet who are the two candidates being promoted for president in 2024? Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton! This is beyond sad. It's crazy!
