Banking giant Citigroup is suing AT&T over the telecom company’s use of “thanks” and “AT&T thanks”. The use infringes several of Citigroup’s trademarks, including "ThankYou" and "CitiThankYou," according to a complaint filed in Manhattan federal court.
However, Citigroup said that Time Warner Cable can continue to say "Fuck You" to its customers.
In other legal news, the estate of George Orwell sued radio host Josh Hadley for selling t-shirts emblazoned with the number "1984."
After thanking Hadley for no longer selling the shirts, the estate was sued by Citigroup.
